One of the most important items for tailgating! We started out using a little hibachi grill. This charcoal grill did the job for the few of us that went to the games. These are great for hot dogs, brats, wings, and pretzels. They are small and travel well. The only issue with these grills are the hot coals after the game. Then we moved to a gas grill. These are great for fast startups. They cook all types of meals before/after the game. They cool quickly so you can leave a bit faster if desired. You do lose that charcoal flavor with a gas grill. Finding one that cooks evenly is also a challenge. We use the Fire and Ice grill. This not only cooks good, but contains a cooler as the base to store your food and beverages. Charcoal Grills - Great flavor with all types of food. Slow startups are an issue if you do not have time to arrive early enough. Lugging around the charcoal is also an issue. But the mess is worth it. We have not found a better flavor produced on any other types of grills.
