The Inside Construction of our Bengals Tailgating Bus/Vehicle

Page <1> <2> <3>
This is the start of the inside work.  What a hunk of junk we bought....  But the following will show some of the progressions we went thru. The first picture is us starting to remove the rubber flooring and what we found underneath. Yikes - rotten wood. So we had to remove the sub-flooring and basically start from scratch. The second picture is after the new sub-flooring is in. Not an easy task, but will be worth in the long run for stability and for the future insides of the tailgating/party bus.

The first picture below is a back to front view of the new flooring. Some pieces were actually in good shape so we decided to work around those. Especially in the front of the bus. Those pieces of wood were still solid so we left thos in there. The next three pictures are us starting to do the wall to wall carpeting. For this process, we put the center section of carpet down first. This outdoor carpet is a tailgating rug that we found online. We purchased two of them and determined they would work great as the center runners. Since we have Cincinnati Bengals Season Tickets, we are making the inside decked out in Bengals gear. To keep the tailgating rug attached to the floor, we are using outdoor carpet glue. This dries fairly quick and attaches itself to the carpet great. You can see the wall is being started as well. This is just black outdoor carpet that we purchased from the local home improvement store. We used 2x4's to hold the piece up, then cut the window shape out. Once this was done, the carpet was rolled up to the top and held so another person could apply the glue to the wall. After the glue was applied, the carpet is the rolled down and pressed using a small 2x4 several times to work any bubbles or kinks out of the carpet giving it a flush adhesion to the wall.
